Cosmetic seconds: Cosmetic flaws will not affect overall performance of the product. Primary flaws are dents from adjacent lids during manufacturing or shipping. Some Standard lids have over-driven rivets which caused domed dents under rivet but rivet is secure.

Standard and NOLS-Style Expedition Fry-Bake Lids are spun from .062 inch 1100 “O” temper aluminum and weigh 10 oz.

The Standard Lid has an “L” shaped tab for lifting riveted with 2 rivets to the lid. This tab has a small hole in it to allow for insertion of a stick, “O” ring or “S” hook.

The NOLS-Style Lid has a wingnut installed with a bolt through a single hole in the center of the lid. This style is the easiest to customize with the addition of your own knob or handle for lifting the lid by replacing the wingnut.

The Lightweight Lid is spun of .050” 1100-0 temper aluminum and weighs 8 oz. The Lightweight Lid has a small cup shape for lifting riveted with 2 rivets to the lid. The Lightweight Lid is not generally recommended for backcountry use as it is easily bent. It is perfect for your kitchen at home, on your yacht or in your motor home or van where there’s little risk of damage from transit.
